
David Stroud

ASM - Global Route Development
David Stroud has a wealth of worldwide industry experience having spent over 30 years in the aviation industry. Having obtained a BSc (Hons) from the University of Nottingham, David started his career within the Military Aircraft Division of BAE Systems; he has since worked for Manchester Airport, London City Airport, Airport Strategy and Marketing (ASM), Routes and now Informa.
When he joined ASM, David already had significant experience in the management of airport route development, marketing and infrastructure development activity. David has been a senior manager with ASM and Routes since 1998 and was Managing Director of ASM before leading the formation and development of the digital route development platform Routesonline. Following the acquisition of Routes and ASM by UBM, David lead the Routes event business overseeing its integration into the new company as well as driving the acquisition of the Global Airport Cities event business.
More recently, David returned to the post of Managing Director, ASM, shaping the expansion of its global consulting and training activities. In 2017 he oversaw the establishment of ASM North America forming a new operation to support the air service development ambitions of airports in the US.
Within Informa, David also sits within the Senior Management Team of Aviation Week Network helping to shape the strategic direction of the newly enlarged group including leading brands Aviation Week, CAPA, MRO Events and Fleet Discovery.
